Grants

Grants are available to young people under 25 who are registered at an address in Brecon town.

Am I eligible to apply?

Applicants need to be in further or higher education, or to be an apprentice or a vocational trainee. Applicants must be under 25, and must be resident in Brecon. They do not need to be studying in Brecon.

For what purposes can the grant be used?

The grant can be used to support the cost of books, resources, hardware, software, tools, equipment and travel costs essential to the course (excluding travel to and from the place of study). Grants are not made directly for the cost of courses or qualifications.

How much can I apply for?

Grants are awarded at the discretion of the trustees and the maximum awarded is £400.

When can I apply?

The trustees assess applications and award grants twice a year, in October and March. You cannot make more than one application in one year. The trustees will not normally award more than three grants in total to any individual.

How do I apply?

In order to apply you need to email edmundjonescharity@gmail.com to request an application form. This will be sent to your home address in Brecon, to prove your eligibility to apply.
